week four of class

Last night's class seemed really stressed and filled with unasked or unanswered questions. I had a difficult time myself stretching back to the previous classes and recalling what we'd completed for each. This class is the first that I've really had to do that - to recall previous projects and blend them with the current studies. I'm seeing that now as a bad thing, since Susan seemed to be internalizing the need to rip her hair out last night. Not sure if we should have taken a look at the previous projects before last night's class, but it might have helped ease the confusion, especially for me. Big picture hasn't been the topic in a lot of the classes before now, and at week 4 it feels like it should have come together by now in my head. I admit, I haven't begun sifting through old work in order to create my IMC plan for Jeans Unlimited... I'll also admit that Jeans Unlimited is something I won't miss once this program has ended.

In any case, best of luck to you all on your presentations and papers. Three more modules to go!

In case you need to know, I now have a spare bedroom and am using the bed in that room to house the previous eight module's worth of work. They had been living in various-sized stacks strewn about the computer room floor. My daughter's recent departure from "the nest" was excellent timing as now is the time when I need to reference all of this stuff! And just think, in January, I will be able to put sheets on that bed instead of books. Ah motivation!

Yes, I felt so frustrated that I thought I was going to burst into tears a couple of times - and that you don't want to see! I'm hoping that a good night's sleep will clear my head and I can make sense of everything. It's going to be a very long weekend! Anyway, we're all in this together, we all have good brains in our heads, and somehow, we'll make it through!

I don't know about you, but I allow myself the luxury of one meltdown per module.

I finnally like that things are comming together. I agree however, that the Jeans case will not be missed - I have never been able to find relevence with the integrated project.

I think Susan brought things to the real world when we talked about her sponsorship of the golf tornament. I would like to see more of how these theories are used in the real world, instead of using cases studies.

Don't worry Josette - it was a case of having to reflect back on old modules and pull information from the backs of our brains in order to properly participate in class. It wasn't a productive class, to say the least. Hopefully, like Grace said, we'll get it all done and done well - together. I'm willing to brainstorm with anyone, if anyone needs some perspective on their papers... :) YEAY TEAM!
